When you interact with us in any way you automatically provide us some basic information such as how you arrived to our Site and where you navigated from. Additional information we may collect will vary based on how you interact with us, including if you provide us with any reasonably identifiable information that can be used to identify you. This may include your name, phone number, email address, mailing and billing addresses, the entity you work for, phone and fax numbers, social media information, photos, payment information, purchase history, order trends, credit information if you are applying for credit terms, how you use our Product, search activity, pages you view, and any other information you provide us.

 

Tracking Information

We use cookies, web beacons, and embedded scripts on our websites to analyze visitors to our Site for future improvements and advertising. Information Collected from Website Visits

When you use our Site, we collect and store limited personal data and some aggregated data from visitors who are browsing our Site and how you use our Site. If you requested a payment link or order updates to be sent to you via text message (including SMS and MMS), you authorize our third-party service providers to send you text messages to your phone number. Our third-party service providers are not liable for delivered, late, or undelivered messages. You agree to pay for any charges that may apply for receiving such text messages from your phone carrier.

 

Physical Locations

To ensure the safety and security at our physical locations we may require your name, contact details, signature, government issued identification documentation with photograph (e.g., driver’s license, identification card, or passport), or employer identification. The information is used to manage visitor access, release products for pickups, and anything that requires onsite access.

When you visit any of our physical locations, we collect personal data about you through security cameras that record your image, video, and voice. These cameras are used primarily for security purposes to keep our premises safe.

If you use our Wi-Fi networks, we may also collect personal data from your device such as your name, device you are using, browser type, when you last logged on, and duration you were online.

Anyone is able to read, collect, and use information you provide on public forums.

Our website chat application is hosted by Meta Platforms. You should review their privacy policy before deciding whether or not to engage with us through the Messenger chat application.

Our Site, Software, and Services include links operated by third parties such as our online shop or in our product pages, emails, or newsletters, such as “Share” or “Tweet” buttons, or links to our social media pages embedded in social media icons. Our online shop is hosted by Weebly and Square to process payments. Weebly and Square have their own privacy policies you should review before you decide whether or not to browse through or purchase from our online store. We comply with payment card industry data security standards for the processing of credit and debit card transactions. Only select Maruson personnel who need the information to perform specific job duties are granted permissions to access your data. Violations to customer privacy safeguards are subject to disciplinary action, including termination, legal, or criminal action. We also implement reasonable security practices and procedures appropriate to the nature of the information we maintain, including limiting access to data only to appropriate technical, and administrative staff, and physical procedures to prevent loss, misuse, or alteration of your information online or offline. No data transmissions over the internet are completely secure and we cannot guarantee complete security of the transmission or storage of your information.

 

Children’s Privacy

Maruson Products, Software, and Services are not intended for children under the age of 18 and are not intentionally targeted to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 18. If a child under the age of 18 has provided us with personal information without their parent or legal guardian’s consent, the parent or legal guardian may contact our USA headquarters to let us know and we will remove their information and unsubscribe the child from any of our electronic marketing lists.

 

Job Applicants

When you apply for employment with us, we will collect personal data you have shared with us including your name, address, email address, phone number, education background, employment history, social security number or other government work authorization information, photo (if you had sent as part of a CV), identification card, credit and criminal background check findings, contact details for references, or image, voice, or video if there was a video interview. Additionally, we may use social media, job boards, and other publicly shared information found online to find, review, and contact potential candidates. This involves collecting some personal data you have made public from those sites.

We do not request or require sensitive personal information regarding religion, health, sexual orientation, or political affiliation as part of the employment process. If you have a disability and would like us to consider an accommodation, you may provide that information during the recruiting process. If you provide us with any sensitive information, you are expressly authorizing us to handle such information in accordance with our Policy.

We will not sell the information on your application. Your personal information is only accessible by those who need to in order to perform their tasks and duties and shared to third parties who have a legitimate purpose to access the information. These third-parties may include service providers such as electronic document solutions platforms, agents, consultants, attorneys, background check providers, corporate governance, or other regulatory requirements. If your application is unsuccessful, we will retain your information for a period after you apply as required by law or as long as legally necessary. If we merge, sell, or transfer ownership of the business, we may share or transfer your information in connection with the business transfer and will notify new ownership your information shall only be used in accordance with this Policy.

If you provided information concerning other individuals such as references, you are responsible for providing any notices and ensuring the individual you referenced consents to us collecting and processing that information as outlined in this Policy.

 

Deletion of Personal Data

We are required by law to keep personal data as long as necessary to fulfill any legal obligations.
